Overview

Utilihive is a cloud-native integration platform for moving data between enterprise applications, cloud services, and data sources across information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) domains. It can be used as an integration platform as a service (iPaaS) to develop, deploy, and monitor integrations across on-premise and cloud environments.
Utilihive provides core capabilities that help organizations reduce integration complexity, increase data availability, and improve operational efficiency.

Core Capabilities

Connectors

Utilihive provides a wide range of pre-built connectors for a variety of services and protocols. You can use these connectors to simplify integration with different systems, as they handle the underlying communication details. Connect connectors are implemented as processors.

Data Transformation and Mapping

Utilihive enables you to transform and map data using standardized data types, schemas, and declarative mappings. You can align data formats, structures, and values across systems to ensure consistent and reliable data exchange.

Real-Time and Batch Data Processing

Utilihive supports both real-time and batch data processing, allowing your organization to handle various integration scenarios to meet specific performance and latency requirements.

Workflow Orchestration and Automation

Utilihive enables you to orchestrate complex workflows and automate cross-system processes, helping you streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Low-Code Development

Utilihive includes a Kotlin-based Software Development Kit (SDK) that enables you to build integrations using low-code configuration with a domain-specific language (DSL).

You define integrations as declarative, configurable flows composed of pre-built processors. These processors provide capabilities without extensive custom coding, helping you accelerate development and reduce maintenance overhead.

The SDK also includes built-in test tools to help you validate flow designs, and manage changes over time using the version control tool of your choice. You can incorporate unit and functional tests into your development process, shortening feedback cycles and increasing confidence in releases. This approach helps your teams build integrations that are easier to maintain and evolve.

For more information about low-code integration development, see the Utilihive SDK documentation.

Deployment and Management

You can package and deploy integrations to the Utilihive Platform or the Utilihive Agent.

All integration management in Connect is API-based. This enables you to deploy flows dynamically at runtime without platform rebuild or reinstallation, automate the deployment processes, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines. Connect also provides the SDK Deployer and the Deployment Operator to help you deploy and manage integrations.

You can upgrade and maintain the platform independently of your integration flows. Integrations stay up to date with the platform. Connect is updated regularly to deliver performance improvements and security fixes. When you upgrade Connect, you automatically get these improvements without changing your integrations or disrupting business logic.

Monitoring and Observability

Utilihive is designed for production use, with built-in monitoring and observability that provide insight into the health and behavior of integration flows and Connect services.

  • You can monitor message volumes, failures, throughput, and in-flight processing, and use end-to-end tracing to follow individual messages as they move through a flow. These capabilities make it easier to identify where failures occur, validate that changes behave as expected, and support audit and compliance requirements for critical data exchanges.

  • You can monitor the health of the Connect platform and all its services in real time, track resource usage and performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource allocation.

For more information on monitoring Integration flows, see Connect Console.

Scalability and Reliability

Utilihive can scale efficiently as your integration demands grow, using its distributed and event-driven architecture. You can expand capacity without significant reengineering, allowing the platform to handle increasing data volumes, new integrations, and evolving operational requirements while maintaining consistent performance and resilience.

Security and Governance

When you deploy integrations to Utilihive, the platform comes with built-in enterprise-grade security controls, including encryption, authentication, and compliance monitoring, to help protect your data and support governance requirements.

You can use Utilihive to standardize integration development, deployment, and operations across your organization. This approach enables teams to collaborate effectively, share best practices, and maintain consistency across integrations. You can thereby reduce development time, improve integration quality, and increase operational efficiency.
